OUR PEOPLE

Mr. William Panford Bray was the Managing Director of the Ghana Commercial Bank between 1999 and 2002. He has over 40 years of working experience in banking and finance including his long service at Barclays Bank of Ghana Ltd where he reached the position of the Deputy Managing Director. Between 2002 and 2003 he was Acting Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Airways. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (FCIB).

Mr. Bray is currently serving as Board Chairman of Fidelity Bank, Enyan Denkyira Rural Bank Limited and Opportunities Industrialization Centre, Ghana. He is a Director with Unicredit Ghana Ltd and Oak House Ltd. and also a Council Member with the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors.

Mr. Bray has been honoured with various awards including Life Fellow, International Biographical Association (LFIBA), International Man of the Year 2000 – 2001; International Who is Who of Professionals 2000 and a Paul Harris Fellow. He enjoys walking and gardening and also is an ardent golfer.

He brings to the Board of Apex Capital Partners a wealth of knowledge from his experience in the financial and banking sector and also acts as a consultant for the organization.

Mr. Joseph B. Clottey is a Financial and Management Consultant who has over 36 years experience in the banking industry and retiring as the Head of Banking Supervision, Bank of Ghana. In 1969 after graduating from University of Ghana with a degree in BSc Administration (Accounting Option), he joined the Bank of Ghana.

He was involved in the formation of the Committee of Banking supervisors of West and Central Africa and served as Chairman of the group for one year.Mr. Clottey was elected Chairman of WAMI Committee of Banking Supervisors in 2003.

He is the Board Chairman of Express Savings and Loans Company and Express Funds, a money transfer company and Excellence Academy. He also serves on the Boards of uniBank (Ghana) Limited, Anglican Development Company and Oak House Group. In the past Mr. Clottey has been a member of the Audit Committee of Barclays Bank, Ghana.

He brings to Apex the rich experience from the banking industry (especially in Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management) which he has attained over the years as a professional banker.

Bernard Owusu-Twumasi (Esq.) is a Legal Practitioner specialising in Corporate Law. He is a member of the Ghana Bar Association, American Bar Association, Inter Pacific Bar Association, International Trademark Association, International Intelligence Network, Association of British Investigators, Investigators of America, World Association of Professional Investigators, Council of International Investigators, National Association of Professional Background Screeners, West African Business Association as well as the Association of Credit and Collection Professionals.

Mr. Owusu-Twumasi is an Entrepreneur and a Business man. He is currently the Managing Partner of Oak House Law and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Oak House Group which comprises Oak House Law, Oak House Private Investigations and Oak House Collections.

He brings to Apex knowledge on Corporate Law and acts as Legal Advisor for the company.

Mrs. Owusu-Twumasi holds an MBA (Finance option) from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and a first degree in BSc. Tourism from the University of Cape Coast. She has undertaken various management development courses.

Prior to joining Apex Capital Partners, Mrs. Owusu-Twumasi worked with Bond financial Services where attained the position of Head – Treasury Sales. She has experience in Project Management, Deposit Mobilization, Entrepreneurship, Corporate Finance and Marketing. She has diverse managerial background from many reputable organisations including Safebond Africa Ltd, Adisadel Centenary Project, Hospitality Consult and Allure Beauty Spa.

With her over fourteen (14years) working experience, she brings to the board the necessary knowledge and skills requisite in managing an investment portfolio and propelling Apex Capital into the next level.

Kwabena Duffuor II holds a PhD in Finance, an Msc Banking and International Finance from Cass Business School, City of London, UK, and a degree in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Southampton.

He has over Nine years banking experience both locally and internationally. He worked with Ghana International Bank Plc, uniBank (Ghana) Ltd and Standard Chartered Bank in various departments including, Retail Banking, Treasury Operations and Credit Risk Management.

He is the Chief Operating Officer for Unibank Ghana Limited and adds on his innovative and strategic skills to the Apex Capital Board.

Peter Tenganabang Nanfuri (Esq.) is a member of the Council of State – a body set up under the 1992 Constitution of Ghana which is responsible for advising the President of the Republic.

He is also the Paramount Chief of the Jirapa Traditional Area of Ghana with the title Naa Ansoleh Ganaa II.

He is a very experienced Police Officer and through hardwork and dedication to the Police Service, was once the Director of the Bureau of National Investigation (BNI) and rose to become the Inspector General of Police (IGP) between 1996 and 2001.

Mr. Nanfuri, is a Senior Lawyer who studied at the University of Ghana, Legon where he obtained a BA (Hons) in Political Science and LLB (Hons) and a member of the Ghana Bar Association.

He provides knowledge and experience from the security services on fraud, money laundering and other possible illegal activities in the industry

Nana Owusu-Nsiah is a Diplomat and was Ghana’s Ambassador to Israel between 2005 and 2009.

He is a Police Officer (Rtd.) who rose through the ranks to become the Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Ghana between 2001 and 2005.

He holds a BSc (Admin) and MBA and brings to the Apex Board experience from the security services also as well as international exposure from his diplomatic engagements.
